Another three months have rolled passed at an alarming rate, and I am reminded once again that our time here on this planet is short lived. It appears to me that the older one gets, the hands on the clocks supernaturally move faster than ever before. Yes, I realize I am still too young to comprehend the extent of this paradigm, but its effects are beginning to affect even my young world.
We have now been back in the luscious land of our origin an equal amount of time that we had left it. It hardly seems possible. I really have nothing to show for our time back, nothing besides a few crazy weather stories here and there, and it saddens me a little. How could so little time in such a crowded and crazy city be so filled with adventure and lifetime memories, and these last few months have passed and I can barely tell you what I did yesterday? Maybe I just need to get out more.
I can tell you one thing though, I love this city. Or, town rather. I love how I can sit at my front window and watch the rabbits chasing each other, and the deer wandering through, and the little diving ducks in our pond. Waking up to the sound of birds singing every morning is a treat I never got to behold when I lived in the city. It may be due to our single pane windows that the wind whistles though, but that's nothing a good roaring fire in our wood stove can't fix. I am hoping that soon we won't need to have a fire going so often, and that more time can be spent enjoying the forest paths and rocky beaches in our neighborhood. They are rather delightful. We have always loved to explore all that our area has to offer, most of it being the afore mentioned paths and beaches, and I'm sure there is much that we have yet to discover right on our own doorstep.
Just over two weeks from now, on a hopefully sunny day, we will celebrate our first anniversary. Already. Yet another example of how time is rapidly sweeping us of our feet and into eternity. I must say though, it has been quite the year! I dare say it’s been the best yet. Being married is fantastic. Need I say more?
Pondering what has taken place in this past year makes me wonder what will transpire in this year to come. It seems as though we are in a time of waiting and seeking, and that one we have come to a place of complete peace and surrender, our futures and further adventures will begin to be unraveled by our Father right before our eyes. I’m excited. Who knows what he has in store?
